The Movie Night in Triumph will take place in Perm on August 19th at 21:00 as part of the Second International Film Festival "Shape of Life". The festival is dedicated to the preservation of the environment and all forms of life represented on the planet.

For the night show, the festival organizers chose the Russian comedy series “The Green Mayor" - about three friends who are trying to save their hometown from an environmental disaster. After the screening of several episodes of the series (directed by Fedor Balvanovich), a creative meeting with a representative of the film team is planned. The meeting will include a discussion of social and creative issues of filmmaking on topics of current interest. The Movie Night will take place in the hall of the Philharmonic "Triumph" (Perm, Lenin St., 44).

The main event of the film festival is an international competition program, in which films created in any country of the world are accepted for participation. Eight full-length films with a duration of more than 52 minutes, including at least one film from Russia, created in 2020-2022, are taking part in the international competition. Films with a duration of more than 35 minutes take part in the national competition. The festival will also present non-competitive programs "Animate/inanimate", "Territory", "Science/Life", "Children.doc" and "Retrospective" with films by Andrei Konchalovsky.

The guests of the film festival will be Russian and foreign directors, producers, heads of environmental organizations, scientists, eco-activists, government and business representatives. The festival program will include meetings with the authors of films, workshops on natural documentary filmmaking, exhibitions, lectures with the participation of scientists and specialists from all over the world not only in cinemas, but also in other places of the city.

The Shape of Life Film Festival will be held in Perm from August 17 to August 21, 2022. The festival is organized by the Gorky Film Studio with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, as well as with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture of the Perm Region, the Perm Cinematheque and the Perm Film Commission.
